    comeback victory against Maria Sharapova.

Serena never gets any credit for the amount of variety she has in her game.
Her serve wasn’t working all that well so she had to switch gears and rely
on her ground strokes. She set up the points very well with power and
    excellent placement.

Sharapova had a great strategy. Too bad Serena’s forehand got better to
overcome all the barrages Sharapova sent to it. Serena was the better
player yet again, but Sharapova is getting close if she stays focus.
Excited for their next matches to come. Congrats to Serena!!!

What a match, just bad for Maria. She deserves better.

  • By Tom Scanlan, November 12, 2013 @ 7:02 pm

She didn’t do it as much as any of her other tournaments. I watched to
match live and I only remember like twice and Maria lobbed her. And Serena
usually pulls of some great backhand angles. But I only saw her do it like
three times. It was low standard in the 1 & 2 set compared to her normal
    self.

Are you sure you’re not getting Venus and Serena mixed up ? Lol When was
Venus and Stephens first meeting then ?

And this is why Serena will keep climbing up the all-time greats list!
She’s unstoppable…and how old is she again? HA! Maria will NEVER be an
all-time great IMO. Here’s a list and check if you agree with me!

Any man that looks at Serena and call her a man has got to be a homo

  • By Tom Scanlan, November 12, 2013 @ 9:38 pm

Kudos to Maria for a great performance. But this was a appalling match from
both players. Power, just power. No variety, no drop shot, no volleys. And
Serena you aint Venus. You don’t need to keep your feelings inside. Feel
free to yell a c’mon right in Marias face. But it was a great match. I just
hoped that there was a little more to it. Serena = GOAT.

?! “Too bad!” Are you kidding? I am ecstatic that the BEST player, Serena
    Williams, won!
