You are dead right – enuff said. Don’t see Maria even getting close.

The men’s tennis shows that even today a player can really dominate for years. Ask Federer and Nadal.

    Sharapova beautiful

  • By pios sanchez, January 5, 2013 @ 6:51 pm

Serena just slaps her around like an Easter bunny …pow pow boom boom lol

  • By mcgar909, January 5, 2013 @ 7:15 pm

I just wanna point out that Henin did in fact “eat, sleep, and breathe” tennis. She was dominant for a short while… Then she “ate, slept, and breathed” her way into retirement… twice. Nowadays, I actually think it’s detrimental to make tennis the only thing in a player’s life. It’s harmful to their physical and mental health, making them prone to injuries and burnout. It was different in the past, different schedule, different demands. It’s impossible for a player to dominate like the past

So you call Roger Federer the greatest? Steffi Graf? How do you know if they ate, slept, and breathed tennis? 15 slams with 4 gold medals, 13 doubles slams, most money a womens tennis player ever made, most aces hit by a woman, a woman who has a winning record over all active players and then some who retired…Serena is THE GOAT…But then she can pursue and accomplish other interest and still dominate the tour, AFTER being on her deathbed….Come on now, she is the definition of GOAT…….

  • By Marco Kimani, January 5, 2013 @ 8:49 pm

I agree, she has a cute face and she is blond… but beyond that she is just a 6’3 boy with little tits and a twah, her ass is flatter than a 2×4… however she seems like a cool person.

  • By Marco Kimani, January 5, 2013 @ 9:06 pm

15 titles not enough for you… LOL… she has to be the most dominant tennis player since Martina… she brought the power game and added finesse to it… Monica Seles and Sharapova are powerful, but hardly as skillful as she is.

That she can pursue other interests and still be unbeatable is a testament to her greatness.

  • By eljoven911, January 5, 2013 @ 9:47 pm

that’s the same thing as “not dedicated” lol. besides the injury part. but choosing to not make tennis her life is the reason she is not the GOAT; i’m not saying it’s wrong but it is the reason why she is an underachiever. you actually put it a better way than I did. To be considered the GOAT, she has to “eat, sleep, and breathe Tennis” and she doesn’t so she isn’t. But the last 6 months she has been great! seems like she finally decided to make Tennis the top priority.

I agree. Not every guy finds Sharapova hot. I like curvy women, like Serena.

  • By garn3006, January 6, 2013 @ 1:15 am

When Serena’s serve is on, it’s a beautiful sight to see.

  • By MrChristopher0710, January 6, 2013 @ 1:52 am

Serena hits with a lot more spin, and uses more angle, to take the ball right off the court…. whereas Sharapova is much more ‘up and down the court’ kind of player, particularly on the forehand. Serena can hit the ball harder in the rallies *and* keep it in play, shot after shot, as she has more natural access to spin, which is critical difference in this match-up. This has nothing to do with being ‘scared’ etc. etc. I find the suggestion that Sharapova is ‘scared’ to be ….

  • By MrChristopher0710, January 6, 2013 @ 2:17 am

and serve comparison doesn’t warrant discussion. If Sharapova was better ‘in rallies’ (let’s suggest that she is…. ) then you would expect her to hit more groundstroke winners in rallying positions – which has never been the case. Serena hits far, far more winners *in the rallies*, and this is excluding serve/return points. The difference in forehand winners is the critical differential. Serena hits with a lot more spin, and uses more angle, to take the ball off the court….

  • By MrChristopher0710, January 6, 2013 @ 2:49 am

I don’t really see how…. Serena’s forehand is lot heavier (up to 16mph+ faster) and breaks down far less under weight shot pressure than does Sharapova’s. Forehand to forehand, it is absolutely no contest. Backhand to backhand it is far more equal. Serena is also far more aggressive, naturally so – a first-strike player. Consequently, she typically hits three times as many winners in Sharapova, in their matches. That has been repeated match after match.

Everyone has something better than the other, I believe one day Maria can beat Serena again like in 04, and i also believe Maria is keep losing to her because of fear, she is scared Serena is gonna serve big and return big but Maria just doesnt realize that she can play just like Serena #my opinion

  • By power103912, January 6, 2013 @ 4:19 am

    excuse u?

  • By Christobanistan, January 6, 2013 @ 4:27 am

Linternauter means beast as in a best of a player, as in really good.

  • By Christobanistan, January 6, 2013 @ 5:13 am

There’s no one I like to watch/listen to lose than Maria. Serena may be the best women’s tennis player in the world, but Maria is definitely the hottest. 😉

  • By GoHard4Home, January 6, 2013 @ 5:33 am

this is Serena in cruise control….Simply uncanny and amazingly surreal.
