  • By mszsu, August 17, 2011 @ 7:31 pm

If you close your eyes and listen, it sounds like never-ending applause.. hope he never forgets that moment.

  • By mszsu, August 17, 2011 @ 8:18 pm

  • By ForAfewMoviesMore, August 17, 2011 @ 9:12 pm

@AnAmazingForehand l think you mentioned one of his reasons for crying, but you don’t seem to know that yourself…………….

  • By Sonate64, August 17, 2011 @ 9:55 pm

@AnAmazingForehand He ended up loving it.

I love Steffi with all my heart but why does it always look like she’s applauding without any feeling?
Second thing: 23 dislikes means there are 23 dickheads who understand nothing about tennis.

go read his book if you haven’t already! – i got through all 500 pages in 2½ days – it’s SO good!

  • By poeven, August 18, 2011 @ 1:29 am

i just finished reading his book, which lets you understand his thoughs, joys and struggles in a whole new way and makes this moment even more special…
    – made me cry
    well done, andre!

  • By CPORet2009, August 18, 2011 @ 2:15 am

@annajeehee Sorry, but I don’t agree. Andre went through a lot of physical pain his last few years, that was the primary reason he had to retire. He couldn’t do those cortisone injections in the back forever.

  • By CPORet2009, August 18, 2011 @ 2:43 am

    Steffi’s still gorgeous.

I have learned to appreciate Agassi after I read his book, now he’s my hero

  • By wildmanglas, August 18, 2011 @ 3:55 am

I have never seen anything like this. Tennis has never seen anything like Andre Agassi. He is a tennis hero and the most decent and caring human being too.

  • By annajeehee, August 18, 2011 @ 4:29 am

He retired too soon – guess it was his wife’s and family decision- to see his kids grow up

  • By harryfm175, August 18, 2011 @ 5:10 am

I read his book and watched this… all I can say is wow! what a champion~in tennis, in life, in everything!!!! Agassi has always been a hero, but now he’s more then that.

  • By peRFection191919, August 18, 2011 @ 6:04 am

I remember watching this with my dad before I became a real fan of tennis, and now that I’m watching it again, it still brings up the emotion and moves me even more, to tears. bless you, Andre.

I just finished reading his autobiography “Open”, it’s hands-down the best sports auto-/biography I’ve ever read. (As a writer and bookseller, that’s saying a lot).
